Embedded software development with .NET Micro framework

An embedded system is a complete computer system designed to perform a set of specific functions, often interfacing with hardware and operating under real-time constraints. Traditionally, firmware for embedded systems have been written in languages such as assembler, C, or C++. With .NET Micro Framework, firmware can be written in .NET (currently C# only) and Visual Studio can be used for development, debugging, and deployment. With .NET Micro Framework, .NET developers can use their familiar tools and language for firmware development.
